Ohio Bobcats defeat Eastern Michigan, 35-10; Novarro scores four TDs

QB Parker Novarro threw for a career-high record of 277 yards and scored four rushing touchdowns to defeat the Eastern Michigan Eagles, 35-10.  The Bobcats preserved their lead in the Mid-American Conference tied with Miami and Bowling Green State at 5-1 each in conference play.

Miami Red Hawks Down Ball State Cardinals in Tuesday night MACtion, 27-21

Our party of over 40 celebrators attending our 700th game noted the Mids propensity to try to “bite off than they could chew” efforts. The Fighting Irish moved up to No. 8. The Mids fell out of the Top 25. WE think they’ll be back though!

Duke ends Florida State winning streak at 22, 23-16, Game of Futility

Duke’s defense dominated the FSU offense on University Family Night. At the 1:38 mark before the first quarter expired, the Blue Devils put seven on the scoreboard with Chandler Rivers’ pick for a 36-yard TD return and a 7-3 lead.

Virginia Tech thwarts Boston College, 42-21; Tuten posts 266 rushing yards and four scores

Virginia Tech stunned Boston College with a 28-0 lead by halftime. BC came out in the second half with some answers. They cut Tech’s lead, 28-21. However, 266 rushing yards compiled by RB Bhayshul Tuten and the running and throwing of QB Kyron Drones kept the Eagles at bay to improve their record to 4-3.

Middle Tennessee prevails in struggle against Kennesaw State, 14-5

Both teams have long ways to go. Against each other’s less than formidable defenses, MTSU averaged 4 yards per play and KSU averaged 3.1. Aside from Omari Kelly’s 61-yard punt return, not much offense on display here. However, we heard some explosive pad-popping from both defenses.
