Our Game History

At the start of the 2022 college season,  collegefootballfan.com has attended 634 college football games since 1979.  Our ultimate Goal evolved to see every Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) team play in person at least once.  The Goal has been accomplished even as other college football programs joined the ranks of the FBS.   As this travel through time developed into the adventure that it’s become, we’ve attended many other games that we didn’t count before “The Goal” started.  Along the way,  we try to find the most competitive game(s) we can find every week. Every chance we get – within the time available and within our budget – we try to attend the best possible match-up(s) at any level of NCAA football.

Over the years, we’ve attended a great many historical, collegiate football games.  On the pages attached below, our History lists our entire roster of games attended, sorted by decades, in chronological order, with final scores,  and where each game was played.  Have fun perusing our History to see if you share similar memories. Find out when and where our paths might have crossed.

Our Future

During the upcoming 2022 season, collegefootballfan.com looks to travel to more sites we haven’t been to yet. Call it our college football stadium “bucket” list, not that we’re looking to “kick the bucket” any time soon.  We hope all college fans can pack their stadiums once again for the thrills and excitement of our favorite sport despite lingering covid-19 impacts,  changes with transfer portals, the NIL, and top players opting out after their teams qualify for bowl games!  We continue to love the action of great games, spirit of the fans, fun tailgates, stadium atmospheres, and visits to new venues and campuses not yet attended.

Three New FBS Members Announced

127 done. Bring on the 49ers!

James Madison, Eastern Kentucky, and Jacksonville State! Stepping up to the FBS?  130 other teams can’t wait to welcome you guys to the party!  Neither can we. You’ll all be on our future schedules to “See ’em all!” Bring it on!
