Loyalty, teamwork, and commitment are still intangibles to be learned outside the classroom despite focus on finances to support college athletics. Granted, players deserve some share of that revenue, but can this be done and still avoid “pay for play?” Beyond college, the vast majority of players pursue careers outside professional sports. The intangibles taught by college football are lessons well-learned for life.
