Brevard College at Sewanee (University of The South); Week 3

We love Division 3 football played by actual college students. No TV time-outs or delays caused by replay. Players do not emulate the FBS level where players are bigger, stronger and faster. However, they play hard and still play to win despite the lack of scholarships and limited national exposure. We look forward to a surprisingly competitive game in this one where players graduate and the next class of player generally come right out of high school. Give these guys some credit where it’s due.

Look for Penn State vs. Ohio State in rematch for CFP

Aside from a select few media mavens or pundits, who other than collegefootballfan.com can attest that they’ve seen all four remaining participants play this season? In addition, including two CFP games already, we attended games where eight of the twelve CFP teams played. We feel that our observations made in person are somewhat more beneficial than listening to broadcasters commentating with a preference for one team or another.

Everything is fine after getting some prescriptions to get rid of a few “bugs” this weekend. Used the time to watch many significant games on the home screen this weekend to help sort out the balance of our schedule for the upcoming championship season.

Virginia Tech thwarts Boston College, 42-21; Tuten posts 266 rushing yards and four scores

Virginia Tech stunned Boston College with a 28-0 lead by halftime. BC came out in the second half with some answers. They cut Tech’s lead, 28-21. However, 266 rushing yards compiled by RB Bhayshul Tuten and the running and throwing of QB Kyron Drones kept the Eagles at bay to improve their record to 4-3.
