Tales from the Tailgate

Tales from the Tailgate: From the Fan who’s seen ’em all! , self- published in 2011, tells my story covering 35 years of when and how I saw every Division 1A team as of 2007 play in person for the first time. The chapters go beyond the exciting and intensive game action on the field.

Proudly, “Tales” received Honorable Mention Awards in the General Book Category at The 2012 New England Book Festival in Boston, the 2013 New York Book Festival, and the 2013 Beach Book Festival.

I plan a second edition after having seen the four newest  teams in action last season, and I plan to add the Charlotte 49ers in 2015 to record seeing all 128 schools playing at the highest level of NCAA college football as of 2015 (Alabama-Birmingham’s exit from the FBS brings our goal down from 129 to 128) .

Also, a second book may be possible featuring memorable games attended at every level of college football when time is more available. I can only hope that my memories will remain vivid so a new book idea will be as entertaining, fun, and insightful as our first one. Please take some time to review “Tales” on our Amazon home page. Buy it for yourself or as a gift for a college football fan in your life. And please, write up a review for us.  We think you will enjoy reading this as much as I enjoy traveling to all these games and writing about the adventures to “see ’em all!”
