As of the 2016 season,  collegefootballfan.com has attended 532college football games since 1979. Before we made this the adventure that it’s become, we’ve attended many other games that we didn’t count toward “The Goal.”  The Goal is to see every FBS team play in person at least once. We try to find the most competitive game we can find every weekend – within the time available and within our budget – to attend the best possible match-up we can find between two pretty evenly matched teams at any level of NCAA football, if we aren’t trying to add another team to keep up with our objective.  On the pages attached below, our History is our entire listing of games attended sorted by decade in chronological order.  Have fun perusing our History to see if you share similar memories when and where our paths might have crossed.

127 done. Bring on the 49ers!

Seen ’em all!                                                Anybody else looking to step up?

All 129 down.  Alabama-Birmingham left the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS), but they are officially back in 2017 and we’ve seen them play already.   In 2015, the Charlotte 49ers became team #129 when we saw them hold their own in a 37-34 loss against Old Dominion. In 2017, the Chanticleers of Coastal Carolina enter the fray as a member of the Sun Belt Conference. We have them early on this season’s schedule at their first home game versus UMass on September 2 in Conway, SC bringing the total number of FBS teams up to 130. However, Idaho, also a member of the Sun Belt, has found the FBS to be too costly. In 2018, they will rejoin the Big Sky Conference to play once again in the Football Championship Subdivision (FCS).

The Charlotte 49ers, newest FBS program to start play in 2015, will host football games at Jerry Richardson Stadium.

We added the Charlotte 49ers as our latest FBS program when they startedplay in 2015.They sell out their home games at Jerry Richardson Stadium.
